Poultney Mettowee Watershed


Stormwater Runoff: Serving up a Poisonous Cocktail (373 KB)Installed at eleven locations (includes three duplicates) along the Poultney and Mettowee Rivers near the Southern end of Lake Champlain are eight interpretive exhibits about various water quality issues affecting the watershed. Nuisance aquatic species, stormwater run-off, streamside buffers, and erosion control are all discussed in this series. Also covered are the clayplain forests of the Champlain Valley. In addition, tips on what "you can do" are outlined.
